Attend an opening reception celebrating Candace and Pete Metzger's installation titled "Threshold: Between Wilderness and Wonder" at the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station.
An opening reception hosted by the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association celebrating Candace and Pete Metzger's installation titled Threshold: Between Wilderness and Wonder will take place Saturday, September 27 from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at Adams Square Mini Park. Digital projections will animate the Gas Station, illuminating the sculptures inside and transforming them into dynamic canvases that reveal overlooked beauty in our relationship with nature. Light refreshments will be served.
Threshold offers a dual invitation: by day, to recognize our biological interconnectedness with all living things; by night, to witness how light reveals extraordinary beauty within ordinary forms. It creates a space where viewers can pause, see anew and discover that in both wilderness and wonder, healing can be found.
This temporary art installation is generously sponsored by the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission through funding from the Urban Art Fund, with support from Glendale Library, Arts & Culture, Glendale Community Services & Parks, and the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association.
