Enjoy a night of Bolero and Ranchera music featuring Voz Bohemia on Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 PM. The Jewel City Concert Series presents eclectic live music outside on the Artsakh Paseo.

Join us for eclectic live music outside on the Artsakh Paseo! Enjoy a night of Bolero and Ranchera music featuring Voz Bohemia as a part of the Jewel City Concert Series. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair and enjoy the music on the paseo. Performances may be experienced by children and families. Admission is free.

Voz Bohemia is a L.A.-based trío romántico with a strong foundation in bolero and ranchera music that also performs other genres that reflect the greater soundscape of Los Angeles, México, Latinoamerica, and beyond. Comprised of musicians Mary Alfaro Velasco, Jesús Gudiño and Ray Gudiño, this multi-generational ensemble performs classic boleros in the vein of the great tríos románticos like Los Tres Ases, Los Tres Reyes, Los Tres Caballeros, Los Dandys, Los Panchos, among others. Their goal is to preserve the trío romántico tradition in its highest form and to shine a light on the diverse bolero canon, performing timeless pieces by bolero artists and composers of different backgrounds and experiences. They aim to share this music with different generations of bolero lovers at all types of events throughout the L.A. community and beyond. In addition to performing regularly throughout the country, members of Voz Bohemia are also actively involved in songwriting, studio recording, and music education.

Voz Bohemia es un trío romántico con sede en Los Ángeles, con una sólida base en el bolero y la música ranchera, que también interpreta otros géneros que reflejan el panorama musical de Los Ángeles, México, Latinoamérica y más allá. Integrado por los músicos Mary Alfaro Velasco, Jesús Gudiño y Ray Gudiño, este conjunto multigeneracional interpreta boleros clásicos al estilo de los grandes tríos románticos como Los Tres Ases, Los Tres Reyes, Los Tres Caballeros, Los Dandys, Los Panchos, entre otros. Su objetivo es preservar la tradición del trío romántico en su máxima expresión y dar a conocer el diverso repertorio del bolero, interpretando piezas atemporales de artistas y compositores de bolero de diferentes orígenes y trayectorias. Buscan compartir esta música con diferentes generaciones de amantes del bolero en todo tipo de eventos a lo largo del país. Además de presentarse regularmente por todo el país, los miembros de Voz Bohemia también participan activamente en la composición de canciones, la grabación en estudio y la educación musical.
