Join the Associates of Brand Library & Art Center for our REEL ART Film Series on Thursday, October 12 at 6:00 pm when we screen The Salt of the Earth in Brand’s Recital Hall. This visually stunning look at the life and work of Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado discusses his forty years of documenting societies in hidden corners of the world. A lively post-film discussion will include contemporary photographers Ara Oshagan and Ken Marchionno.
The Brand Associates’ REEL ART film series offers limited release films that speak directly to and about art in unique ways. Guest speakers, often the director or someone with expertise on the film, will take questions after the screening. These screenings offer an opportunity for viewers to disconnect from their daily streaming devices to experience film in a smaller setting with lively discussion. Films are offered periodically throughout the year.
