Learn to single and double crochet!

This class is for beginners!  We will learn to single and double crochet.  Once you have these basic skills, you can go on to crocheting all sorts of projects!

Please Note: Some of the supplies for this class will be made available to registrants for pick up at Glendale Central Library.

After your registration, the maker kit for this class will be prepared and placed on hold for you. You will then receive a hold notice stating that the maker kit is ready for pick up. Please wait for the “ready for pickup” email notice before going to Glendale Central Library. You may pick it up using our contactless pickup: https://www.eglendalelac.org/contactless-pickup or in-person services: https://www.eglendalelac.org/in-person-services.

Materials Needed:

Included in the Maker Kit:

  • 1 – 5.5 crochet hook (or similar in size)
  • 14 yards of yarn – 2 colors (7 yds each)
  • 1 - Yarn Needle

Not Included in the Maker Kit:

Supplies that are not included in the supply bag are needed to complete the project. Please have them ready for the workshop day.

*Some notes about virtual maker workshops:

You will receive a link to the virtual workshop with additional login information up to 2 days prior to the workshop's date.

It is highly recommended you have a device with a webcam so that if you need assistance you may show the instructor your project. If you cannot have a camera on during this class, the instructor will not be able to assist you.

If you have limited data access or wifi connectivity problems, consider checking out a Mobile Hotspot from the library before the workshop date by requesting it here: https://glac.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S185C1643364 and picking it up using our contactless pickup: https://www.eglendalelac.org/contactless-pickup or in-person services: https://www.eglendalelac.org/in-person-services.

Registered participants must give 48 hour cancellation notice to allow others on the waiting list to attend. Failure to cancel with adequate notice may result in loss of the ability to register for future workshops.
