Learn about the Molas tapestry and culture in Colombia and Panama

Let's chat about the Panamanian and Colombian Molas, and create a needlework project by making a simple and colorful sun.

What is Mola(s)?

Mola (pronounced MO-la) means blouse or clothing in the Kuna language. It is also the word used to describe colorful panels made of cotton fabric and thread created by the indigenous Kuna women of Panama.
