Calling all romance lovers! Every other month we explore a new theme. Join us for May the Force of Love Be With You—a celebration of swoony science fiction romances across the stars.
📚 Looking for a place to geek out over epic love stories across the stars? Join our Romance Book Club, Swooning in the Stacks, as we blast off into a galaxy of science fiction romance! This is a cozy, welcoming space for readers who believe love is the strongest force in the universe.
💖 Read, share, and swoon over your favorite interstellar romances (or the ones that didn’t quite stick the landing). Enjoy a few snacks, grow your TBR at warp speed (sorry, not sorry), and connect with fellow romance readers who love a good happily-ever-after—no matter the planet.
🌌📖 This month’s theme: May the Force of Love Be With You. We’re celebrating romances fueled by destiny, found family, forbidden love, and sparks that fly across galaxies. Whether it’s star-crossed lovers, space operas with heart, alien meet-cutes, time travel tension, or epic battles where love saves the day—come ready to gush!

Bring it! This is the place to talk about the books everyone’s buzzing about.

- No assigned books! Bring any science fiction romance you’ve read recently—or a beloved favorite—and share your thoughts.
- All sci-fi romance subgenres are welcome: space opera, dystopian love stories, alien romance, futuristic worlds, or steamy starship encounters—as long as they fit the theme!
- Meet fellow book lovers, exchange recommendations, and discover your next cosmic crush.

- Every other month, on the third Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM.

Montrose Library
The Montrose Library, located on the east end of the Montrose Shopping Park, is a classic neighborhood branch library with materials and activities for adults, teens and children. Programs include adult activity based social clubs, teen volunteer programs and children's storytimes. The 1961 building offers a lot of natural light and includes a quiet room in the adult fiction area.
