Non-profit gallery, Junior High, is popping up at Brand Studios for a special night of healing through clay making. Students will be given 2lbs of clay and encouraged to make Ollas via the pinch pot method. This program is co-hosted by Junior High and Glendale Library, Arts & Culture.

"Olla" is a traditional word for a clay object that can hold food, liquids, or various items. Loose instruction will be given for surface decoration of each pot. This class is perfect for all levels of experience, including beginners.

This workshop will take place in the Brand Studios is located next to Brand Library on the lower level, next to the parking lot. Brand Studios is not accessible via Brand Library.

Four to six weeks after class the ollas will be fired and glazed for students to enjoy, as they will be food safe. Get your feelings out and onto the clay, express yourself, exist with the community, and utilize resources generously provided by the Glendale Library of Arts & Culture!

You can drop your items off on Friday,  February 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Brand Library & Art Center or bring them at the beginning of the clothing swap. We will stop accepting contributions after 12:00 PM at the event.
