Learn how ingredients found at our local grocery stores can be used to create meals that may prevent and manage chronic conditions like diabetes, chronic pain, depression, and cardiovascular disease.
Join Integrative Health Specialist Dr. Desmonette Hazly as she explores the topic of culinary medicine. Learn the basic symptoms of some common chronic illnesses, and how foods, herbs, spices and teas may be helpful with the prevention and symptom management of these conditions. This workshop will focus on heart health and heart related diseases.
Participants will receive some of the herbs, spices, and teas covered in the workshop to take home.
This workshop will take place Wednesday, May 14th, 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Pacific Park Library. Space is limited, please register to reserve your spot.

Pacific Park Library is a place for families to gather. This library offers a wide range of programming for Children, Tweens & Teens with an expanding Adult program. The library has revitalized programming to incorporate MakerSpace technology, including the use of a Cricut, 3D printing as well as button and sticker makers. This is a neighborhood library that connects to the surrounding community through its strong partnership with Edison Elementary and City of Glendale Park Services as well as visits from local schools and staff attendance at a myriad of outreach events in the community.
