In partnership with Friends of Shoseian Tea House and Garden, enjoy a tour of the tea house located in Brand Park before attending the screening of Edo Avant Garde in the Brand Library Recital Hall.
On Thursday, March 27, the Associates of Brand, in partnership with Friends of Shoseian Tea House and Garden, presents a screening of Edo Avant Garde, a film by Linda Hoaglund. The evening starts with a 6:00 PM tour of the Shoseian Tea House and Garden in Brand Park and moves to the Brand Library Recital Hall for a 7:00 PM screening of a film that explores the connection between Edo Period art (1603-1868) and the rise of twentieth century modern art. Be prepared for a visual feast! Ms. Hoagland will join us for a discussion after the screening.
