Join us for a wonderful and colorful array of music and dances from Peru and the Andean region by INCA. All ages.
This performance will include music and dances from the native Incas (Andean style), from the Hispanic communities of the coastal areas (Criollo style) and the Black people from the villages south of Lima (Afro-Peruvian style).
This is part of the Be the Change Series. Be The Change is the Library’s promise to build collective understanding of systemic racism, elevate the voices and stories of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), and inspire our community to be the change through lectures, exhibits, and programming. Pacific Park Library is a place for families to gather. This library offers a wide range of programming for Children, Tweens & Teens with an expanding Adult program. The library has revitalized programming to incorporate MakerSpace technology, including the use of a Cricut, 3D printing as well as button and sticker makers. This is a neighborhood library that connects to the surrounding community through its strong partnership with Edison Elementary and City of Glendale Park Services as well as visits from local schools and staff attendance at a myriad of outreach events in the community.
