Learn how to use your money well today and in the future while earning community service!

Excited about debt and running out of money? Who is?! But about 8/10 Americans still end up there. Skip all the headaches and learn how to use your money well now and in the future. It’s easier than you think. Invite your friends and come start your journey the right way!

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • Budget: Why & How?
  • Saving & Staying Out of Debt
  • Loans & Credit Cards
  • Financial Self-Advocacy
  • Investing Basics
  • Moving Out: When & How?
  • Insurance: Why & What?

Please note: Teens will earn one hour per session. Teens may earn up to three hours total.

The Montrose Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will be returning soon. The Montrose Library TAB is a small group of teen students dedicated to helping and improving their community and library while earning community service. 

Please bring community service paperwork.

About the library

The Montrose Library, located on the east end of the Montrose Shopping Park, is a classic neighborhood branch library with materials and activities for adults, teens and children. Programs include adult activity based social clubs, teen volunteer programs and children's storytimes.  The 1961 building offers a lot of natural light and includes a quiet room in the adult fiction area.
